Dear Flood Brook Families and Staff,

Our school community has recently seen an increase in illnesses here at Flood Brook. We are seeing Strep Throat, Flu, RSV, Covid-19, as well as other viral illnesses. Please watch your children for any new or out of the ordinary symptoms. It is important to do our best to reduce the spread of illness in our schools.

Listed below is a list of symptoms to be aware of.

New cold/flu symptoms that may include: Runny or stuffy nose, sneezing Persistent cough Headache/sinus pressure Fatigue Sore throat Muscle aches

Fever 100.4 F or greater

Vomiting or diarrhea If your child has symptoms of illness in the morning, please keep them home from school.

Students may return when symptoms are improved or if it has been 24 hours since Fever, Vomiting, or Diarrhea have resolved without medication. If you are unsure what is the best decision to make, please call either myself or Chris Bongartz in the morning and we can talk it through together.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Nurse Sonce
