Picnics can be a great way to connect families and friends. With that thinking in mind, the Mettawee Community School Parent Teacher Organization organized a backyard style gathering that featured food and play for this year’s Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 19th.
The centerpiece of the event was a potluck dinner where everyone brought a main dish, side, or dessert to share. Parents had the chance to meet, mingle and converse while students were able to play.
“It was a beautiful night where families, staff, and students were able to engage and connect,” said Mettawee Principal Brooke DeBonis. “It was a great way to start the school year.”
