MEMS 8th grade students Lola and Lily led a wonderful All School Meeting today to celebrate Earth Day and Poetry month in April.

Kindergarten Enrollment and Screening Registration
This week second grade was invited to test out 6th grade’s STEM foosball project! The 6th grade created foosball tables out of recycled materials. Second grade then tested them and gave feedback based on looks and function. They had a lot of fun being testers!
Band and chorus students in grades 7-8 visited New York City yesterday! They visited Times Square and saw Wicked on Broadway.
Third grader, Charlotte West visited the Vermont State House today with Superintendent Randi Lowe and teachers, Jessica Kuzmich and Jess Waller, to showcase the Wild Robot Literacy Month program. We even set up our MEMS Wild Robot projects and art work in Montpelier for the event.
Today Michael from the Southern VT Natural History Museum came to second grade. He brought animals in connection to The Wild Robot. The students learned about adaptations of each animal.

This family friendly Potluck is intended to celebrate the bipoc community. Bringing families together in a safe, loving, and supportive environment to meet your neighbors, find support, share resources, speak on community issues and opportunities while having some fun! The gathering will feature a “monthly hair clinic (free to families but a gratuity is appreciated), monthly featured speakers and artists, face paint, community resources and incentives, music, games and fun! Bring a dish if you wish as we strive for cultural cuisine!
In Amanda Penge's 2nd grade class today, we had two moms come to talk about Ramadan. Naoual Frost is from Morocco, and they celebrate Ramadan. She had Carolyn Rhode come with her to read a story. The students then created a craft and got a holiday bag.
